I'm back in the most beautiful place in the world.
It's spring vacations at Nanzan University (9 days) and so Caro and I decided to go to Kyoto and Osaka.
We have planned this trip for long now and I was looking so forward.
Another reason to love Nagoya: Besides the fact that Nagoya itself is a great and interesting city, you can reach most big cities of Japan so easy! We went to Kyoto by bus in the morning, something more than 2 hours, so convenient.
おはよう！(It's 6:30 in the morning and I didn't use my curler -.-;)
We are staying in a little cute district full of old japanese houses in a little Ryokan-style hostel. It's really cheap and not luxurious with an onsen or something like a great ryokan but a really cute japanese building^^
The entrance to our hotel
The courtyard of our hotel with the little community room.
The courtyard and a view of the street next to our hostel.
We had checked in, we decided to go shopping in the beautiful district near the Kiyomizu Dera. We both had already went there so we didn't want to go there again. But we wanted to buy our beloved Yatsuhashi and have a look at the nice shops there.
The street to Kiyomizu.
View from the temple~

One of the many beautiful shops with Omiyage
After shopping we had lunch in one of the restaurants~
|My beloved Mugicha|
I had Kyoto Meibutsu (speciality): Ninshin Soba. It was very good!
Caro had Soba with Age
After some walks we had a little break in a café. It was a quite old one and it looked very classy.
This was the best coffee I drank in Japan so far!! They cooked it by hand with real coffee beans. It was excellent.
Afterwards we wanted to go to Ginkaku-ji but it was already closed which we didn't know :(
"The Philosophers' path"
The temple was already closed but there was a nice little path with lanterns near it.
That's all~ Afterwards it was already dark and late and so cold!! Kyoto is much colder than Nagoya atm, today it even snowed (T_T)
We went back to our hostel and had some Konbini-Oden for dinner.
I love our room. I have already been in some traditional japanese rooms but never slept in one with a real futon and everything. It's so beautiful and cozy
(First) buys XD Yatsuhashi, Kyoto cinnamon cookies and Kyoto Kitkat
Yatsuhashi!! I love it
Dango-shaped sweets from Caro
We also got Yukata in the Ryokan. I don't know how to bind a casual Obi though..
Kyoto's famous cinnamon cookies
Green tea and sweets~
Kyoto kitkat: Cinnamon, Green tea and black tea!
I want to live here..I love this city so much, don't want to leave again..
Right before sleeping.
I hope I wake up and don't have to leave.
