Caramel Tea

Today's lunch (selfmade) Kabocha squash, brown rice, sprouts and Salmon (which broke ;_;)

And then: The awesome looking and tasting food of my chinese dorm mates (*O*)

Yatsuhashi, a speciality from Kyoto. Caro went to Kyoto and I 'ordered' those XD Sorry for for forcing you to buy those for me^^; But I just love them!*-*

Soft dough made of rice dough with several fillings. I love especially chestnut and sweet potato filling. Here we have 'Nikki'-filling which is cinnamon.

<3

Potato chips with chocolate. Unexpectedly delicious.

Today I bought a cooking book. It's 'for beginners', showing how to cook traditional japanese food accurately and with the right utensils. I really like it, I want to improve my cooking skills. As you can see above, my food often doesn't look very nice. In general it tastes good but I for example the salmon broke into pieces and so on. I want to learn to prepare food so that it not only tastes good but also looks nice.

Now have to learn~
Tomorrow after university karaoke again. Looking forward, it's such a good way to release the stress of university and so on.

  2. I can't really cook, so at least your food tastes good... That cookbook looks really nice. I want something like that too! We asked the Japanese students here to teach us how to cook Japanese dishes, but they all said they can't cook! I'm not sure how they eat, I guess their mom makes them food or they eat out? So, I have to teach myself...
