名古屋祭り - Nagoya Matsuri

Today was the Nagoya Matsuri, probably the most important matsuri for Nagoya.

Oh, I cut my bangs~ They're a bit messy but it's ok^^;

It's held for the three heroes of Nagoya: Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu, the three unifiers of Japan. Nobunaga and Hideyoshi are both born in Nagoya so the city is quite proud^^

Some other dorm mates wore their kimono but I didn't feel like because it was rainy in the morning and I though it probably would be too exhausting to wear a real kimono for the first time on a crowded matsuri for a whole day.

So we first went to the food place of the matsuri!

Yuu and me in the station with wiiiiind XD

Now come a lot of pics of the food boothes^^

Okonomiyaki Hiroshima style

HA! We have the same in Germany too, they're called 'Paradise apples'^^

Those looked really good^^ A whole potato stuck on a stick and fried and seasoned with some flavour^^

I bought Takoyaki!

But unfortunately when I got my Takoykai, they looked like this:

Later I saw a booth where you got it in a nice wooden box with aonori and stuff (T_T) But those tasted good too.

Then I bought Choco-Banana : D

A band as usual at the foot of Nagoya tower

Then we left the food corner and went to the 'real' Nagoya matsuri part^^
The entrance with 'Nagoya Matsuri'-banner

There was an "Idol-corner" which means several idols which I didn't know signing autographs and selling their CDs or stuff and a group of young little girls in mini skirts dancing and singing and old men dancing and singing along XDD

The fans XDDDD

There were really a lot of Otaku.. one of the men came over to us and well~ Shook David's hand, took a photo with Yuu and oboviously wanted to shake my hand too and take a photo with me too but I ignored him (-.-;) Later he walked behind us again..so we tried to escape from him (-.-;;)

Well then came a few Samurai-actors on the stage and the funny things began: They threw sweets and food into the row! But I didn't get anything (T_T)

We strolled back and watched this man doing some comedy and magic stuff^^ Very funny :3

Of course I needed my Taiyaki :D It was so good^^

Well then we went to see the parade! There were several schools, acting troups and of course the Three Uifiers! :DD

More or less 'rael' ninja XD
Did some more or less 'real ninja fight'

Then the troupes of Nobunaga came and they did a little show of the wars and fights of Nobunaga and his army. I'm not sure if they also played the Battle of Sekigahara but however, it was interesting and fun to watch^^

And then finally: Oda Nobunaga himself! :D

Toyotomi Hideyoshi

 And Tokugawa Ieyasu!

There were even actors of the missionars :D

Afterwards we went to Sakae station. The others wanted to have a break at a donuts shop. I was still full from Taiyaki and didn't want to eat some donuts so I went to the nearby bookshop.
Sakae station~

A great and cheap coffee shop with also international foods^^

Well when I got back to the donu shop everybody was already gone XD So I ended up with two guys of another dorm in Osu.

Osu at evening :D

Well I went home alone and got some Oden at the konbini for dinner^^ It was so good (*v*)

Tomorrow I'm going to the gym again and then..let's see~ Doing homework and learning as usual~ I miss my family, friends and my boyfriend, would be great to speak with one of them but my internet is so bad that I cannot use skype...well nothing doing :/

    Achso und hast du dir die Haare selbst geschnitten? Friseure sind hier so teuer..;__;
